The original article titled “The sensitivity and specificity of electrocardiogram in localizing the culprit artery with angiographic correlation in Indian patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction” published in Journal of Indian College of Cardiology, on pages 70-81, Issue 2, Volume 11, 2021[1], is being retracted because there are concerns regarding ethical misconduct and authorship. On investigation, the corresponding author as well as the editor-in-chief of the journal decided to retract the article.
Such publications violate the editorial policy of Journal of Indian College of Cardiology, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
